Driver requirements

Qualified drivers 21 years of age or older possessing a valid and identifiable driver's license. A major credit card is required in the primary drivers name, employment, or a foreign passport. These are required as identification prior to rental and will be verified at time of pick up.

Maintenance and Breakdown Responsibility

The customer is responsible for checking engine oil, fluids, and coolant levels at each refuelling, as well as reporting mechanical failures immediately to the pick up facility.

Our fleet(s) of vehicles are in top mechanical condition. In the unlikely chance that a mechanical failure occurs, clients are authorized to proceed with the necessary repairs up to $100. For expenses over $100, clients must telephone the rental station for authorization before proceeding with repairs. Replacement parts must be returned to the rental centre for reimbursement.

Clients assume full responsibility for damage to tires. Oil, tire pressure and coolant must be checked at each refuelling. Costs for oil will be refunded upon presentation of receipts.

Unless clients have purchased 'extra insurance', they assume full responsibility for any additional expenses created by the mechanical breakdown of the vehicle.

The company's responsibility is limited to the refund of the daily gross rate or portion thereof if the breakdown repair is longer than 24 hours. In the event the vehicle is in breakdown repair for 15 hours or more, through no fault of the customer, our responsibility to customer is limited to refund of daily rate. Please note the following :- Radio, air conditioning, refrigerator, microwave and appliances, cruise control, and generator malfunctions are not considered breakdowns and no refunds are available for repair time to these item

Reservation information

Reservation Information that we require when making a Landcruise booking. The type of vehicle you require and number of passengers. Maximum 6 passengers per motorhome.

Please be sure to request the vehicle that is most suitable for your party size.

The pick up and return city may be different. Though you cannot pick up in one country and return in another within the same country, one-way rentals are possible on request at a small fee. You can choose from 7 locations across Canada, for pick up and return.

The pick up and return date are entirely your choice. You can pick up and return on any day except Sundays and National Holidays. Deposits & Payments : A deposit of $500 per unit is required upon confirmation of the booking and full payment is required 30 days prior to departure.

Payment

Landcruise requests that all payment be done with a major credit card. We only accept alternative forms of payment on a pre-qualification basis. If you wish to tender payment with anything other than an international brand credit card for any portion of the rental, you must pass a credit check.

We require at least 14 business days notice, prior to pick up, to process the credit check. This payment policy is very strict and there are no exceptions. It is your responsibility to ensure that you've met the credit requirements prior to delivery of a rental motorhome.

Reservation deposit

Upon confirmation of your reservation, a $500 reservation deposit will be transacted online and debited to Your credit card. One change per reservation is at no charge. Additional changes are subject to processing fee of $25 per change. At the conclusion of your adventure in Canada or the United States, your reservation deposit is credited to total prepayment charge.

Fuel

Vehicles are supplied with a minimum ¼ tank. If the client returns with less fuel than on departure the client will be charged for that amount of fuel. There is no refund if client returns with more fuel than on departure.

One way rentals

Unfortunately, one-way rentals between countries are prohibited, and Canadian residents are not allowed to collect a US registered vehicle and enter Canada or the reverse.

Towing

No towing apparatus or hook-up services are provided under most circumstances. Towing is NOT permitted by our motorhome's even though some motorhomes are specifically equipped with a receiver hitch when delivered from the manufacturer.

Should this condition be waived, the customer must declare their intention to tow prior to departure and warrant that towing weight is within tow weight restrictions. Towing, when allowed will also costs a small premium per day extra. You will need to inform us of your intentions to tow, so we can reserve a motorhome specifically with a receiver hitch. Our affiliates provide no collision or liability coverage for damage to the towed object or for third- party injury inflicted by the towed object, under any circumstances.

Security deposit

A security deposit of $3,000 is required at the time of departure, depending on the type of motorhome you hire.

Rentals without 'extra insurance' coverage require a security deposit of $3,000. Rentals with 'extra insurance' require a security deposit of $100 ($1,000 for drivers 21 to 24 years).

An open credit card authorization is taken at departure for all rentals.

Security deposits are paid by credit card and are processed prior t departure from pick up location. These deposits are refunded when the vehicle is returned complete with all equipment, in a clean and undamaged condition.

Should You decide to accept the 'Extra Insurance' while paying the rental charges by credit card the security deposit is reduced.

The Premium Insurance will not cover damage to the Roof, Under-belly, exterior walls, bumpers the interior or anything if the damage can be related to un-safe operation of the motorhome.

For certain rental applications, security deposits may be increased.

Upon return, all extra charges, if any, are balanced against the security deposit and a credit card refund will be given to cover the refund.

Damage / Accidenst costs

Driving in unauthorized areas: All costs
The vehicle is driven by unauthorized driver or driver under the influence of drugs/alcohol: All costs
Willful damage: All costs Damage incurred during illegal acts: All costs.

Substitutions

Landcruise and our affiliate(s) are constantly updating the fleet with new vehicles over the year from the top manufacturers and we cannot guarantee exact specifications and layouts.

We will make every effort to provide the customer with the model requested.

We reserve the right to substitute models of similar or higher grade.

Should a model of lower grade be offered, liability will be limited to refund of price differential between model paid for and model taken. Although this is infrequent, accidents or mechanical repairs and most frequently, the late return of the motorhome by previous renter does occur and may force substitutions.
